This triumph marks Carlo Ancelotti’s fifth win as the club’s manager and the first time the team has clinched a title at Wembley. Despite being favorites, Real Madrid faced strong competition from Dortmund but ultimately emerged victorious.

The match saw Real Madrid break the deadlock in the 74th minute when right-back Dani Carvajal headed in a corner from Toni Kroos, marking his 13th goal for the club. Vinicius Jr. secured the win with a second goal in the 83rd minute, silencing the Dortmund fans who had been vocal throughout the match. Dortmund had their chances, with Niclas Fuellkrug hitting the post in the first half, but luck was not on their side.

Real Madrid's victory reinforces their dominance in European football, as they have now won nine consecutive finals since their last loss in 1981 to Liverpool. This brings their total Champions League titles to 15, more than double the seven titles held by second-placed AC Milan.
